3 Brilliant Night Creams For Your 30s, 40s And 50s

3 Brilliant Night Creams For Your 30s, 40s And 50s

It’s never too late to start using a night cream, or so my mother always told me. I’m a firm believer in beauty for all ages; nothing should be restricted or off limits regardless of the decade you find yourself in. However, now and again, we have to substitute old favourites for something with a little more oomph as our skin has different needs the older we become. A night cream is particularly?important because cell renewal and skin rejuvenation occur mainly at night: the growth hormone that builds and repairs body tissue is secreted during deep sleep so we can aid this process by using the right produce whether they address hydration, luminosity or anti-age. Age is not a problem to fix, but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to look your best and if a night cream makes you feel happier when you look in the mirror first thing, what could be bad about that?

Here is our pick of three brilliant night creams, whether you’re in your thirties, forties or fifties. None of these are exactly budget friendly but if you want a night cream to really do its job and renew the skin, in my experience, the luxe options are worth paying extra for.

In Your Thirties

Clarins Multi-Active Night Youth Recovery Cream, approx €59

As you approach thirty, your skin gradually loses its natural luminosity; skin cells get sluggish, and it looks noticeably duller.?Clarins? Multi-Active range will combat this; it’s designed for women in their thirties to combat the first signs of early ageing. ?The cream is light in texture and excellent for tired skin, restoring brightness and elasticity by morning (it works to plump fine lines), while moisturising without being heavy.

In Your Forties

Estee Lauder Advanced Time Zone Age Reversing Night Creme, approx €74

Keeping skin’s elasticity and anti-age concerns are high on the skincare wishlist for many women in their forties. Time Zone Night has an elegant texture and formula that’s loaded with antioxidants and cell-communicating ingredients,?which are designed to lift and plump the skin. It also contains a special nighttime amino acid complex designed to optimise skin’s natural replenishment of wrinkle-smoothing collagen, fighting fine lines and wrinkles. Refreshingly, it doesn’t feel heavy, and you should see a noticeable difference after a few weeks of use.

In Your Fifties

SkinCeuticals Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2, approx €144

SkinCeuticals is a brand you’ll find on every beauty editors must-have list at some point because their stuff is so powerful. And when it comes to nighttime remedies for the skin, this cream, in particular, is the business. The?Estrogen hormone that supports healthy skin cell functioning can plummet in your fifties, particularly when you reach menopause, meaning the skin can’t protect itself, maintain hydration, or produce strong collagen the way it once could. Mature skin suffers from a loss of natural lipids, like ceramides, fatty acids, and cholesterol, so this cream was created primarily to tackle the loss of facial fullness and correct this uneven texture experienced as the skin ages.

It’s nourishing texture refreshes and cools, awakening tired, dull skin on contact. A powerful trio of barrier-strengthening and repairing ingredients then get to work on minimising visible slackness, especially around the mouth and on the jawline. All this combined with concentrates?of natural Cholesterol Fatty Acids, work to restore the skin’s nourishment levels and help to prevent dehydration, rough texture and dullness. It’s perfect for night but if you feel your skin needs an extra boost, you can use it in the morning too.
