Cheryl’s New Do

Cheryl’s New Do

Proving the timelessness of ‘The Rachel’, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini (it’s far too early in the morning for that mouthful) has just this week chopped off her signature long locks into a Friends-esque, choppy lob. It’s been described elsewhere as Cheryl’s attempt at channeling the 70s (she says it herself too), but really all it is is a clever way to a) give Cheryl her monthly dose of column inches and b) promote L’Oreal’s Casting Creme Gloss Berry Red 565. And it’s not 70s, it’s very very 90s.

Much like Jennifer Aniston, Cheryl’s hair has long been newsworthy as she’s gone from her Girls Aloud bob days, right through to endless extensions, changing colour from dark brown to caramel to a purplish red and back again.

Cheryl first teased her pending hair change with an instagram post saying ‘long overdue’ along with a snap of some scissors. Telling indeed.

Long over due.. 😉💇👋

Then we got a follow up snap of her voluminous, bouffant-like, berry bob. And then a sexy ‘oh, you’re taking a photo of me?’ snap of her new look from the front.

I ?? the 70’s #newdo colour is @lorealparisuk Casting Creme Gloss Berry Red 565. @percyhair thanks for the chop

Do we like it? Yes. Would we do it ourselves? No, for without a team of stylists at our beck and call, 24/7, we’d run the risk of looking like our aunt Mildred.
