The Best Cream Blushers For A Healthy Glow

By Jennifer McShane

The Best Cream Blushers For A Healthy Glow

The creamy alternatives to powder blush are not only made for the summer months but all year round if you want your skin to glow; they enhance and revive dull complexions and are brilliant for adding definition to cheekbones.

Often referred to as the ‘secret weapon? of make-up artists and celebrities, a cream blusher is widely regarded as the most natural way to create a healthy glow during staycations, vacations or wherever you may be. Easy to blend, a cream blusher is perfect for giving that natural ‘no makeup’ look.

A cream blusher layered onto a foundation or perhaps used as a highlighter over a powder alternative, is a look that can work for you, regardless of skin type or tone. Choose from the best of the best and invest in YSL’s Luxe Cr’me De Blush or the cult NARS option or save your pennies and try the high street version from Bourjois?? either option will leave you with luminous skin and will surely become firm staples in your beauty bag.

Compliment pale skin with a dusty rose, or amplify olive tones with peach blush – even a small amount dabbed onto cheeks will instantly revive you.

Here are seven of our favourites:

YSL Cream Blush, €42

YSL Cream

On contact with the skin, the creamy texture turns into a light powdery film. Velvety soft, light and airy, it’s exceptionally smooth texture blends perfectly and the colour stays put all day.

NARS The Multiple, €41

Nars (2)

Yours truly loves this one the most. This is NARS? original multi-purpose stick for eyes, cheeks, lips and body. Its unique creamy formula and sheer colour blends effortlessly to create shimmering accents, contours or dynamic highlights on all skin tones. You can use it pretty much anywhere on the body, but it is ideal for your cheeks. It is truly gorgeous on and though it is one of the more expensive options here, it will last months.

Bourjois Little Round Pot Cream blush, €10.49

Regarding a budget option, Bourjois is one of the best. It has a cream-to-powder consistency, but don’t let that put up off; it still looks as natural as cream and for just over €10, it’s a total bargain.

Clinique Blushwear Cream Stick, €29.50

Clinique

This Clinique Blushwear Cream Stick is ideal because it is so easy to use. This subtle colour gives skin a pretty ‘just blushed’ look. Dab onto the skin, either straight from the stick or using your fingers, then blend gently taking care not to be too heavy-handed; if you want a natural glow, less is more as this one is quite pigmented. The sheer colour can be quickly built to give a more intense look the no-brush stick also makes it perfect for travelling and touch-ups on the go.

No7 Pop & Glow Cream Blush Stick, €12.95

This one does what it says on the tin and will leave you with a subtle glow but for those that love a super natural look, this is for you. The Rose Blossom shade looks particularly gorgeous when applied.

DIOR Blush Cheek Stick, €33.50

This is another cream blush perfect for when you’re on the move. Its texture blends softly and seamlessly with the skin for a delicately powdery finish that can be intensified as you wish. The Coral shade is heavenly and worth the price tag alone.
