David Beckham’s Insta Is Fastest Growing Ever

Last weekend David Beckham, former footballer and full-time husband to Victoria, joined Instagram. Saturday morning saw social media aflutter after the H&M underwear ambassador announced his arrival to the photo sharing app with a sultry black and white selfies. The tattoos were out, the white linens of the bed Beckham lay in were crumpled in that barely rumpled way that only happens to rich peoples? pillows, and his direct gaze into the camera made us feel a little bit pregnant.

The weekend marked David’s 40th birthday, and while David spent the past few days celebrating that major milestone with family and friends, he has further reason to party now. The soccer star is the owner of the fastest growing Instagram in the app’s short history. Athletes keep on going for gold, even after they retire. David managed to attract 5 million followers in a mere three days, Grazia reports, and as of today that number is 5.5 million,

Why is David Beckham’s Instagram among the fastest growing in the world? Because this fine specimen of sexy human gives women/the Instagram user what they want.
