5 New Dublin Hotspots We’re Loving

Quite a few eateries have cropped up in Dublin over the last few weeks, meaning our summer dining options have widened to tantalising effect. Go on – broaden your horizons and try something new. Here’s our pick of the coolest new hotspots to try ?

Bow Lane

This is your late-night meet-up with friends on a Saturday type of place, with craft cocktails and hearty fare a speciality. Think seared tuna with white asparagus, glazed pork cheek, charred octopus with baby artichoke and grilled oysters. But it’s the Gin ?n? Ton Ton we’re after – gin, elderflower liqueur, rhubarb liqueur, tonic, ruby grapefruit and coriander. Aungier Street, get ready for an invasion, bowlane.ie.

The Coburg Brasserie copy

The Coburg

Situated in the Conrad Hotel, across the way from the National Concert Hall, this is the brasserie you want to book before that gig you bought tickets for months ago (we expect others to do the same, so don’t hesitate). Our picks? The seared beef carpaccio is simply to die for, but if red meat isn’t your thing, order the Castletownbere crab cocktail or lobster and prawn ravioli. The champagne bar is the perfect spot to kickstart proceedings, thecoburgdublin.com.

Laine, My Love

A chic caf? on the North Side? Yes please! This hip spot on Talbot Street serves up adventurous breakie options including pancetta with poached pear and brie alongside fresh salads and the heartiest of sandwiches – we can’t wait to try the honey and cloved baked ham. Hungry yet? lainemylove.com

Farrier & Draper

With Lady Powerscourt’s old bedroom as its upstairs bar, this spot on South William Street is already making quite a statement, both in its Prohibition-style d?cor as well as its cocktails and stunning Italian fare. @farrierdraper

No 5 Vinoteca

Open a few months now, this Merrion Row eaterie serves up Spanish tapas as well as a delicious new bottomless brunch. We expect word of mouth will spread fast about the private dining area upstairs, no5vinoteca.ie.
