Culture Night is taking place nationwide tonight, and so many cultural centres have opened their doors to the public, in order to present and give an insight of what their locations offer. Celebrating cultural diversity, art and creativity; wherever you wind up, you will find something really interesting to discover.
So many events have been organised to please everyone’s passions. From readings, live music, fashion, exhibitions and yoga. Everyone will be able to find a location that presents an activity or expression of art they might be interested in.
Grafton Academy of Fashion Design
Fashion lovers, after last weeks’ wonderful Dublin Fashion Festival, the city has even more to offer. You can come and discover live shows from some graduate designers. The Lilliput Press
The Lilliput Press are welcoming some amazing guests for Culture Night. The guests include Culture Night 2015 ambassador Niamh Farrell of hamsandwhicH, Donal Ryan and Alan McMonagle. Readings will be held and they will also be celebrating the release of the highly anticipated short story by Donal Ryan, A slanting of The Sun.
Meeting House Square
After last year’s extremely successful event, RTE Radio 1 presents an outdoor broadcast of an extended 3hour long show which will feature interviews, music, poetry, drama, comedy and live performances.The range of music that will be offered on the night will go from classical and operatic to traditional and popular. www.culturenight.ie – Meeting house square
This event is perfect for modern art lovers. The French Embassy, in it’s new location on Merrion Square, is putting on an interactive installation through sound, light and the human body.
