Actor Eddie Redmayne And Wife Expecting First Child

2016 isn’t even here yet and already the new year is shaping up to be the best one yet for actor and lest we forget, Oscar winner, Eddie Redmayne. As well as being hotly tipped to pick up his second Academy Award for his role in The Danish Girl, multiple reports have said that the Theory of Everything star and his wife, Hannah Bagshawe, are expecting their first child together. The news comes just days after they celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary too. Aww.

According to The Sun, the British actor reportedly informed pals that the baby is due in June and a source added that the couple “are delighted and extremely excited. They don’t want to find out the sex of the baby but are happy to tell close friends and family they are expecting.”

Prior to their marriage, the pair had been together for three years. Redmayne was only too happy to play the real life role of the doting husband this week as he happily gushed about his wife in an interview earlier this week. He told People: “Marriage is the most wonderful whirlwind”, adding that “It’s been extraordinary.”

He added of Bagshawe: “I think saint might be the word. And it’s a ride for both of us. It’s wonderful doing it with someone you love because you also have a second eye on it all. This whole industry is the most joyous, absurd circus.”

“It’s great to have someone when you get too immersed in it or drinking the Kool-Aid to say, “Wait a second,” he said.

The couple, both 33-years-old, tied the knot in Somerset in December 2014 with Bagshawe accompanying Redmayne to the Oscars this year where he took home the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Lead Role for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything.

If reports are to be believed, he is soon to hear the pitter patter of tiny feet as well bagging many awards?in the coming weeks. Oh, and he’s in the new Harry Potter prequel. Not a bad start to a new year.
