The Science Gallery launched its latest exhibition Fail Better yesterday. Curated in part by Sugru inventor and maven, Jane ní Dhulchaointigh, the exhibition seeks to explore the beneficial side of failure as a creatively stimulating factor. A wide variety of disciplines will open the topic up for debate, with a special look at how failure forces us to reconceive, reinvent and push the boundaries in a way that constitutes new realities and inventions. Covering all sorts, from every day failures, to brain surgery and missions to Mars, the exhibition will be hosting talks, interactive workshops, installations and readings with guests such as Mark Pollock, Anne Enright, explorer Sir Ranulph Twisleton. Missing this would be a fail of the not-so-good kind.
