George and Amal Clooney Adopted A Basset Hound!

George and Amal Clooney Adopted A Basset Hound!

Between stellar careers, impeccable wardrobes and enviable homes, George and Amal Clooney are living their best lives. And all this ticking of the life goals boxes may have gone up a notch with news of the couple adopting a Basset Hound mix named Millie. Millie joins a Cocker Spaniel named Louie as part of the couple’s furry brood.

Millie is four-years-old and was adopted from the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society in California. Her background story is one which may melt your stony Friday heart. Millie was taken to the shelter a few weeks ago after she was found outside a restaurant looking for food scraps in San Gabriel.

The shelter published a blog post about Millie and that’s how she met George and Amal. The couple were on Petfinder looking for a basset hound when they saw her photograph. ?They did a ‘meet and greet? with her and spent time introducing?her to their other rescue, a cocker spaniel named Louie,? the shelter wrote. ?It was good news that Millie and Louie hit it off and the happy, new family headed home together!? The couple recently celebrated their one-year anniversary, so we like to think Millie’s adoption is a belated celebration of sorts. Doesn’t she look so happy?

Is life beautiful? If you want some more adorable stories of the transformative power of pet adoption, check out this video from Battersea we published yesterday.
