Jamie Dornan ‘Stalked’ A Woman To Prep For Role

Jamie Dornan admits to stalking a woman on the train to prepare for his role in The Fall.

Jamie Dornan may play handsome ciphers on screen, but in real-life the Northern Irish actor doesn’t hold back and has built up a reputation for very candid interviews. A curse for his PR handlers, a boon for the reading public.

Quotes from the actor’s recent LA Times interview are the latest to be doing the head-scratching rounds. Jamie admitted that as part of his preparation for the role of suburban serial killer Paul Spector in The Fall he tried some Method acting.

?I. like, followed a woman off the train one day to see what it felt like to pursue someone like that.

I really kept my distance – she got off a few stops earlier than I was planning so I said right, I have to commit to this. I followed her around a couple of street corners and then was like: what are you doing?

It felt kind of exciting, in a really sort of dirty way. I’m sort of not proud of myself. But I do honestly think I learned something from it, because I’ve obviously never done any of that. It was intriguing and interesting to enter that process of ?what are you following her for?? and ?what are you trying to find out???

While today is April’s Fools and we’re approaching every celebrity headline with a veil of scepticism, it appears the quotes are genuine. And a little bit weird. Okay, a lot weird. While Dornan did preface his spoken thoughts as ?a really bad reveal?, we still think that maybe the PR person on duty should have swooped in with a distracting phone call from Fifty Shades author EL James.

Other than that, the quotes are pretty much on brand with the parts Dornan tends to play. After all, Christian Grey, the kinky billionaire in Fifty Shades of Grey, develops a habit of ?running into? the young English graduate Anastasia Steele in the hardware store at which she works.

Let’s have a look at Jamie being charming as opposed to creepy in this Graham Norton clip. We need to save the crush.
