More Marvin Gaye, Please

Irish quartet, Heroes in Hiding.

We could all do with a little more Marvin Gaye in our lives, right? Whatever your mood, no matter how low it is or how crap a day you’ve had, Mr Gaye’s instantly recognisable melodies will cure whatever’s ailing you. We know this well and apparently, so does hot new Irish band, Heroes in Hiding. Former Trinity Orchestra fans will recognise the Heroes lead singer Joe Carroll from his time spent singing alongside fellow Trinity alumnae, Hozier.

Such fans of Marvin Gaye are this Dublin based quartet, they’ve succeeded in expertly blending Sexual Healing with Let’s Get It On. Why? Because let’s face it, we all want as much Marvin as we can get in 4:44 minutes.

Heroes in Hiding have been busy carving out their unique space on the Irish festival circuit this year and were even lucky enough to perform at one of Iceland’s most popular festivals during the summer. They’ve been featured on lots of radio shows, having charmed the pants off Ray Foley and if their social media following is anything to go by, they’re expanding their loyal fanbase by the minute.

From Heroes in Hiding, you can expect impressive and quite pretty harmonies, and repeat worthy tracks such as Hush that you’ll find on our ‘most played’ lists on iTunes.

Here’s hoping their output quality continues in the same vein as what we’ve heard so far, Heroes in Hiding are certainly ones to watch. And here’s to more Marvin Gaye.
