Pride Weekend

Pride Weekend

How amazing is it that Google goes into Pride colours as soon as you type in Dublin Pride 2013? Very cool. It’s a testament to how Pride Weekend has become one of the city’s best-loved festivals in recent times, taking over the most streets and venues. This year the parade and partying looks set to be bigger and bolder than ever, with inspirational Polish transgender MP Anna Grodzka as Grand Marshall of the parade. All tastes are catered for this year, with events ranging from family friendly, to glitzy, from bright and early in the morning til raucous and late at night. Carnivalesque, spangled, glamorous and fierce, here’s our guide to a happy Pride Weekend –

Crowd

|| Champagne Breakfast provided by Brother Hubbard at The Outhouse||

|| Dublin Bear Party on the bus or in Nealon’s later, this is of such outrageous silliness it’s a must||

|| Gay Village @ Merrion Square is the family friendly part of the festival, with food stalls and entertainment provided all day long||

|| Mother Bloc Party @ Meeting House Square?totally wild, totally pride||

|| Shirley’s Come Down at Sundown what better way to end the weekend, wickedly and slowly||
