We’re Gearing Up To Celebrate The ?Taste Of Mexico?

Love Mexican food? Then this foodie festival is right up your street. For the fifth consecutive year, the Mexican gastronomic and cultural Festival, Taste of Mexico, will showcase food, drinks and music from all over the 32 states of Mexico, here in Ireland. This week-long festival will run from 17th to 22nd of November. Here at IMAGE, our love of Mexican food knows few boundaries, so we are in.

With an array of participating restaurants and food businesses, two exciting and colourful fiestas, wonderful live music, interesting demonstrations and fascinating discussions over six days, this year’s Taste of Mexico festival promises to be the best yet.

It will feature a jam-packed schedule of experts giving in-depth tastings and demonstrations. So basically, it’s a foodies’ paradise; you’ll get to further your knowledge of Mexican food culture, all while tasting truly scrumptious dishes.

Three experts: Mexican chef Helma Honda, tequila expert Jos? Torres-Diaz and Mezcal expert Silvia?Phillion, will all have a busy itinerary of masterclasses, workshops and tastings over the course of the week scheduled. So, all guests will be in safe hands and have the opportunity to immerse themselves the ingredients and flavours of Mexican food and drink.

As well as that, organisers have two superb parties planned to launch the festivities; firstly, the exclusive launch night on Monday, November 9th in No. 10 Ormond Quay – this is when the full programme and details of prizes and competitions will be announced. Following this, on Friday, November 20th, there will be an event that brings together all the participating food and drinks businesses for a true celebration of all things Mexico.

We’re so excited, we’re going to start polishing our Sombreros now.
