Anna Faris Talks Chris Pratt Cheating Rumours: “It Really Stings”

A reminder that celebrities are humans too and you shouldn’t just decide to tear them down because you’re bored.

As if it wasn’t enough to have already had our hearts broken by Gwen Stefani’s marriage break down, the Ben and Jen split that seems only to be souring and Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards separation, now the gossipmongers are turning their attention towards Anna Faris and Chris Pratt who, for the record, are TOTALLY FINE.

When US Weekly asked Anna Faris what she thought about said rumours, (which is something you’d expect anyone to respond to by saying ‘b**** please, ask me something about my work’) the Mom actress opened up in a way we didn’t see coming. (For those who missed the original ‘story’, US tabloid ‘Star’ decided that if Chris Pratt had dinner with a co-star (Jennifer Lawrence) then he must be cheating on his wife.) While other celebrities would rather not dignify such stirrings with a response, Anna admitted that it’s really not fun when strangers go poking holes in your private relationship.

“I had always kind of believed that part of the rumors of celebrity couples were sort of true because they had never been part of my life,… I was like, ‘Oh, maybe there’s a kernel of truth to that.’ It’s been a little devastating because for us, it’s like, ‘What the heck?’ This has been blindsiding to us. We have an incredible relationship. It has been weirdly stinging.?

And then of course US Weekly pushed her a little harder, asking her how she felt about hearing rumours that her beloved beau had a nice thing going with his Passengers co-star Jennifer Lawrence, of which Anna was ‘jealous’. It’s here that you might expect her to just walk away or present her middle finger but once again, she got candid, showing that they’re just like you and I and this stuff hurts: That “stung a little bit harder than I thought it would.” We’re sure Jennifer Lawrence would be equally as miffed about the whole thing.

For anyone who’s in doubt, Chris has taken several opportunities to gush about his wife on a public platform, not that it’s even any of our business. Back in June, he told People?”I have the support of a strong partner who’s been through this and understands it and whom I can share these experiences with and we have a family that we’re starting that’s the focus of my attention.”

Leave Chris and Anna alone; and while we’re at it, let’s all think twice the next time we hurl assumptions at people we know nothing about.
