Disney Store Christmas Campaign Launch

You say Christmas, I say,??Isn’t it amazing that Ireland has its own dedicated Disney Store?? Although my parents and their SSIA’s probably thank their lucky stars my generation missed out on the wonder that is three floors of amazing toys?

Last night press and their excited families queued up outside the Disney Store on Grafton Street for a private sneak peek at some of the shop’s seasonal offerings. In normal circumstances, people stopping and starting and holding up people flow is frowned upon, but when you’re dealing with wide-eyed jaws on the floor children, you forgive a multitude and may even shed a tear with emotional joy.

Queen Elsa and Princess Anna of Arendelle, that’s the magical kingdom in Frozen in case you’ve tuned out of popular culture, joined the party upstairs as we debated buying tiaras and Minnie Mouse handbags. However, the stars of the show were the Star Wars toys on the ground floor and in the basement. The BB8 Droid Sphero is powered by an app on your smartphone and runs around the place at your bidding, beeping and even projecting a Princess Leia-esque ?Obi Wan, you’re my only hope? hologram of one’s own face. ACTUAL HOLOGRAMS.

Last night, the Disney store on Grafton Street was home to the launch event for Disney Christmas campaign ?From Our Family To Yours?. The campaign invites families to upload a festive family photo through Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #DisneyStoreFamily. For all the shared photos, Disney will donate soft toys to children across Ireland supporting Children in Hospital Ireland.
