Last Thursday evening, The Marker Hotel was buzzing with over 300 people anxiously waiting to join IMAGE editor-in-chief Melanie Morris to welcome back special guest, Jo Malone MBE.

Guests were greeted with Jo Malone’s favourite?Tanqueray No.10 Pomelo Fizz cocktail in exquisite?Waterford Crystal?coupe glasses. As all our attendees into the main room which was beautifully’decorated with floral creations by Appassionata Flowers in fabulous Waterford Crystal vases they discover luxury gift bags on every seat. Every attendee received a 2017 diary from Paperblanks,?Butler’s chocolate and nourishing Nutritive’shampoo and conditioner from Kerastase. On everyone’s’seats was a lovely treat from Mazda Ireland who kindly gifted everyone with a complimentary’mini valet/makeover for your car when you test drive one of their award winning Mazda?Range, which was showcased outside The Marker Hotel.

Maverick perfumer?Jo Malone then took the stage to join Melanie Morris to share her story. Jo shared how her passion and creativity for fragrances started from a very young age which took her from the kitchen’to building a beauty empire. In 1999, Jo sold the Jo Malone London business to Est?e Lauder Companies and remained Creative Director until she left in 2006. Jo’s passion for fragrance never ceased and she started a new project/brand, Jo Loves – an innovative new scent, bath, body and candle collection. Jo shared her inspiring life stories and even gave us some expert tips on how to prolong perfume scent by applying it with a brush.

On the night we also had a charity raffle and collection for Breast Cancer Ireland which raised a whopping €1,000 and 5 lucky winners went home with some amazing prizes. Also on the night Jo exclusively’signed copies of her new book Jo Malone: My Story.

One lucky tweeter won an overnight stay for two, with dinner at The Wineport Lodge in Co. Athlone, courtesy of Ireland’s Blue Book, and Mazda Ireland kindly offered them the loan of a sporty Mazda MX5 to drive while on their mini holiday.
