Só Collective, is a carefully curated space for Irish design showcasing the very best of contemporary Irish fashion, lifestyle and craft from both established and emerging designers, and we’re loving it at the moment. It takes its name from the Gaelic word só, meaning ‘treat or luxury’.
It recently launched with over 60 Irish designers from across the isle, encompassing womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, accessories and lifestyle items, as chosen by a panel of industry leaders. Invited guests mingled with designers, each of whom are retailing or will retail their pieces at Só Collective this year.
Guests were given a unique insight into the inspiration from Andrew Marshall, Business Director at Kildare Village and emerging Irish design talent Michael Stewart spoke of his work that is currently on exhibit in Kildare Village.
Those in attendance included renowned Irish designers Jill deBúrca, Mariad Whisker, Garvan deBruir, Natasha Sherling and Helen Steele.International Irish model Kiera Gormley lent her support and showcased hero pieces from Só Collective. Fashion guru Aisling Farinella was also in attendance alongside bloggers Rebecca O’ Byrne and Grace Mongey. Guests sipped breakfast cocktails while enjoying a selection of delicious, ‘From the Isle’ inspired canapés using Irish ingredients. The lucky guests departed with a gift bag comprising a Brookfield Farm beeswax candle and a customised hand-bound Duffy Bookbinder notebook.
