5 Of The Best New Season Trousers

It’s time to get the measure of the new’season. Here are five varied styles of trousers around which to?build your AW wardrobe.

As I eagerly await the opening of & Other Stories in Dublin this summer, I can’t help but log onto their website to bulk out my new season wish list. These gorgeous crushed velvet pants?are on there. High-waisted for an elongated silhouette, they’ll look so good with a simple blazer and platforms.

Uterque is another online obsession of mine. I’ve got my eye on these military style cropped trousers. I love the button detailing on either side of each leg. Small details like this can add real individuality to your look.

I love this wrap-over effect. They?create a’sort of skirt/pant hybrid. Perfect for someone like me who loves trousers but feels she should experiment more with skirts.

Chambray trousers, €39.95 at Zara

A classic pair of wide-leg plants?has a place in every woman’s wardrobe. The cut of this pair is super-sophisticated with a high waist and slightly over-long leg. Perfect for work or cocktail hour.

I could never own too many pairs of culottes. They look so smart but feel so relaxed to wear. Again, they’re a hybrid piece – the pleated detailing here makes this pair look very much like a skirt at first glance. Finery London has created these culottes in a super-soft fabric for extra comfort. Given AW16 is so much about texture, they’re a great choice for the new season.
