Why Everyone’s Going Green

Why Everyone’s Going Green

Gigi Hadid may be rocking pink from head to toe (and not in a good way), but fellow model Cara Delevingne?has made green look like the hottest hue of the moment. We don’t often hear of green heralded as the shade of the season. Red, yes; pink, frequently over the past couple of seasons; and even yellow looks like it will have its moment come autumn. But celebrities and street style stars alike are embracing shades from chartreuse to verdant. Here’s how to take a leaf out of their book.

Blogger Susie Bubble looks elegant in this ruffled chiffon gown. The red embroidery on the dress coupled with red handbag and matching lip colour pull the entire look together, giving it depth and personality. This shade of green works beautifully with Bubble’s inky black hair.

Director and producer Sofia Coppola looks understated but elegant in this pleated dress. The navy and bottle green?combination is a really subtle way to embrace colourblocking.

Model Nikki Perkins looks chic and sexy in the simplest of floor-length gowns. Without any embellishment, this dress is all about the revealing cut and the tactile velvet fabric in that gorgeous shade of rich emerald, which works so wonderfully with her skin tone.

How to look utterly cool in a tea dress? Kirsten Dunst rocks this patterned piece, pairing it with oversized shades and red ankle-strap shoes. The green, navy and red pattern has a slightly retro feel without looking costume-like. An unfussy hairstyle and modern sunglasses keep the whole look?fresh.
