How Do You Feel About This Trend Reboot?

How Do You Feel About This Trend Reboot?

Okay, I know what you’re thinking: it should be criminal to wear wide-legged, draw-string, button-down track pants beyond the age of five, but hear me out. No longer do we need to live in fear of having them ripped off at random in the school playground – no. Instead, we can marvel in the delight of having a thigh-high split without having to wear a skirt or dress. Rejoice, I say! ?The best way to show some high-leg or subtle ankle action this autumn will be the tear-away track pant, and below are five pairs to inspire you. Welcome to nostalgia city, honey.

Minty-green freshness with Fenty X Puma.?Done up in fine tricot with tearaway side seams trimmed in satin ribbon or jacquard and Fenty Puma -stamped snap buttons, these comfy track pants boast an opulent edge. No wonder they’re a collection favourite?and worn by Rihanna. Shop the look here for €325.

If a subtle look is what you’re after, these original Puma tearaways in black and candy pink from Asos might suit you better. It’s a tactical way to incorporate the trend into your wardrobe without going full-on 1998 Sabrina Spellman.

These original Fila beauties in a modern mango twist. While heels might seem like an abstract pairing for trackies, it’s the tough, street-wear addition that every urban wardrobe needs. Find these on sale for €49 at UrbanOutfitters.

These millennial pink Emilio Pucci track pants. At around €1,015, they’re not cheap. But since when are Millennials cheap?

And, of course, Penneys. If you’re eager to try the trend (if not for fashion then for the nostalgia), old reliable Penney’s have just stocked their own rendition of the Adidas originals for €5.
