The New Colour Codes According To Victoria Beckham

The New Colour Codes According To Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham wears colour with effortless ease, using it to add a distinct point of difference to her look. Whereas neutrals were once her failsafe, now colour has become her style uniform. Here’s how to get her look for a fraction of the price.

A?flash of red beneath an earthy shade of maize’dilutes this tricky shade of any “muddiness” it might imbue. It also brightens Beckham’s complexion by positioning this flattering shade of raspberry close to her face. The white shoes are a brave choice, but they work, freshening up her?whole look and adding a strong contemporary kick.

Slate grey can be a difficult colour to wear close to your face if you have a typical Celtic complexion as I do. Beckham warms up this entire outfit with a simple but gorgeous Merlot coloured sweater. Again, she adds an unexpected punctuation with a pop of white (mental note: invest in white accessories!).

Beckham is no longer a slave to trends, but she’s not afraid to nod to the key colour trend of the season either – pink on pink. She gives a pretty pleated skirt a boyish edge with a striped button-front shirt. I love that she no longer matches her handbag with?her shoes. White shoes and a white handbag would have cheapened this?outfit, but a classic tan half-moon bag looks timeless and?classy.
