The Best Knee-High Boots To Buy Now

The Best Knee-High Boots To Buy Now

I saw these burgundy leather high-heel boots (pictured above; €159) on the Zara website a week ago, and suddenly, for me, ankle boots are?falling a little short of the sartorial’mark. I’m craving the statement-making appeal that?only a knee-high boot can bestow, and imaging them worn with handkerchief hems, skinny-ribbed polo necks and cashmere?cardigans. There’s something utterly luxurious about long, textured leather boots, but comforting too. Pulling them on feels similar to the warmth and security I get when I wrap myself up in a chunky, oversized scarf. Plus, they offer the simplest of style solutions on days when’more than one cereal option is too much to handle let alone an entire closet of clothes. Simply pair over skinny jeans and a black polo neck for simple chic. Here are four’more pairs of?knee-high boots I have my eye on now.

I like the stretch leather of these black boots from online retailer Uterque – it means they’ll fit nice and snuggly to your calves. I’m not one for over-the-knee boots, so I’d wear these with culottes for winter.

Valentino’s iconic pyramid studs are dotted subtly along the edge of these boots. The slightly slouchy look harks back to the 1970s, but they feel so modern in a soft shade of nude and paired with contemporary’separates.

The mix of textures here really elevates these River Island Studio boots, plus the gold block heel is very on-trend for this season.

Brown suede boots are a classic. They work well with leather skirts as they soften that very utilitarian fabric.?If you want?to avoid looking too boho, wear these suede boots with directional cuts and primary colours.
