Last night The Marker Hotel was buzzing with a crowd anxiously waiting to join IMAGE editor-in-chief Melanie Morris and special guest, Cath Kidston for chats, learnings and tips on entrepreneurship, being a woman in business and the importance of branding, plus there were plenty of yummy treats and some great surprises.
Guests were greeted with wine and canapés, created by The Marker Hotel’s executive chef Gareth Mullins, before being ushered into the main room to discover luxury gift bags on every seat. Every attendee received a beautiful Max Benjamin candle, a full size Clarins product, an adorable 2016 diary from Paperblanks and a delicious bar of Butlers chocolate. What a treat!
Cath Kidston then took the stage to share her story – from her early dog-walking and chocolate packing jobs right through to the highs and lows of developing and expanding her empire. Her inspiring life only went to prove the gut instinct, determination and grit she possesses, along with her inspired creativity and eye for detail. It was refreshing to see how passionate Cath was about her brand, stating that “a founder is someone who has found what they love.” We couldn’t agree more!

As the evening wrapped up, three guests were delighted to win Davey Davey gift cards worth €150, and one lucky tweeter won an overnight stay for two, with dinner and breakfast at Newforge House, courtesy of Blue Book, along with the loan of a sporty Mazda MX5 to drive while on their mini holiday thanks to our partners Mazda Ireland!
A raffle in aid of The Laura Lynn Foundation, which raised a whopping €800 was very popular as the lucky winner received a delicious Cath Kidston bag made out of chocolate, and a voucher for ‘Le Drunch’ courtesy of The Marker Hotel.
