Introducing DesignIreland.ie

Today sees the launch of DesignIreland.ie, an online platform dedicated to showcasing the work of some of Ireland’s leading designers and craftspeople.

With work included from J Hill’s Standard, Shevlin Millinery and Mourne Textiles, as well as Thomas Diem Pottery, Jerpoint Glass Studio and Max Benjamin, there’s lots of familiar talent. While new to the Design & Craft Council of Ireland’s seasonal campaign are Cooper Handcrafted Furniture, Inner Island Jewellery and Bonagrew Accessories.

To celebrate, the DCCoI in association with the Doyle Collection, are presenting a series of pop-ups with the help of 11 Irish designers. Taking place right up to Christmas in the Westbury Mall, here’s what to expect over the coming weeks…

Winner of the Future Makers Judges Spotlight Award in 2014, and more recently at the RDS National Craft Awards, Chloes? work is inspired by music, directly influenced by the structure of the saxophone. The porcelain is hand-thrown and designed to heighten the user’s experience of the piece.
