5 of the best artisan food delivery services in Ireland

These gourmet artisans are delivering tasty meats, cheeses, veg, pastries and more to Irish doorsteps

Since the start of self-isolation, there has been one constant on my mind: food.

I find myself dreaming of all the gourmet bits and bobs that made eating out so luxurious, like juicy, premium burgers or fresh cakes and Nutella donuts.

Well, we don’t always have to settle for storebrand basics. Irish artisans have started and improved their online delivery services, so we can get quality meats, cheeses, pastries and more at reasonable prices.

Here are five delicious artisans that offer speedy delivery:

Sheridans Cheesemongers

Indulge in a delectable ricotta, brie or smoked cheddar. Sheridans’ online shop has meats, cheeses, wines, sauces and more.

Nationwide delivery: From €5, Tuesday – Friday.

James Whelan Butchers

The best bang for your buck, James Whelans has gorgeous cuts of meat at affordable prices.

Nationwide deliveries: €10, Monday – Friday and are guaranteed within 48 hours.

(Free delivery for orders over 100)

The Fruit People

Order a few fruit and veg products or restock with one of their selection boxes (from 30). Also, for €20, you can make a fruit box donation to frontline workers in the Mater Hospital.

Delivery: €3 or free with orders over €35.

BuJo

Great for families craving a gourmet burger, BuJo is offering a “Home Meal Kit” with everything you need to make eight burgers for 40. Delivery: To counties Dublin, Louth, Meath, Kildare and Wicklow.

Here’s what’s included:

– 12 grass-fed, premium patties (for four double and four single)

– 8 brioche buns

– 250ml of housemade, BuJo burger sauce

– 12 slices of cheddar cheese

– 2 whole dill pickles in vinegar

MUD Bakery
