Substitute Your Sweet Tooth With Fruit
It’s not easy to assuage your sweet tooth, but there is a healthier alternative to hand – berries. Instead of snacking on chocolate, donuts or muffins, have some berries. They are full of antioxidants, are a good source of fiber and are delicious.
Get Extra Vitamins
While you might not change the pace of your life overnight, you can at least make sure you get the vitamins and minerals your body needs by stocking up. Fish oil is great for nourishing skin, and vitamin A will boost your immune system and improve eyesight, and don’t forget vitamin D, as it’s naturally present in very few foods and is great for strengthening teeth and bones.
Make Time To Meditate
Did you know that the majority of us are breathing incorrectly? We spend our day taking a series of short, shallow breaths instead of breathing deeply as we should. Just shifting your attention from whatever is going on to the act of taking a single purposeful breath can make a meaningful contribution to managing stress. Not only will paying regular attention to your breath (focus on taking full, deep breaths) give you a good reading on your mental and emotional but state, you’ll also tap into an easy and efficient way to manage stress and anxiety.
Drink More Water
It sounds so obvious but drinking more water will flush your body of toxins and keep you hydrated and your energy levels even. We’re meant to drink 1-2 litres per day and if you’re finding it tough, start a friendly competition in the office to get everyone drinking more H20.
Create A Playlist (As Long As Your Workout)
We all start the week with the best of intentions when it comes to our fitness routines, but even the best of us can hit a slump and quit our workout routines early. To avoid this, create an uplifting playlist the same length as your intended gym time and make sure your favourite song comes last.
