Brown Paper Bag Project

Here’s everything you need to know about the brown paper bag project duo: Colin Hession (owner of L Mulligan Grocer and W J Kavanagh’s Super-pubs) and Brian Short (beer brewer originally from Atlanta) are beer fanatics. “We met, shared our obsession with beer, and decided to brew our own,” says Brian, “It was as simple as that.” Suffice to say the two are a well-made match, as they’ve created seven beers in total so far (two more are in the works), stocked in cool eateries and pubs nationally. “The name makes sense for the company; it’s much more about an ethos and education in beer culture,” explains Colin. The pair organize tasting nights and are gunning to make brew-friendly friends . “There’s room for all of us. We want to cultivate a community. We definitely feel a part of a culture of producers in Ireland, working on a small scale to create something special.”
