Gin Fan? Try Making The Eden Bar And Grill’s Romeo & Juliet Cocktail

The kindly folks at the Eden Bar and Grill on South William Street have decided to share with us a recipe for the perfect loved up cocktail. When we say perfect we mean it contains gin. Planning a night in? This will set the tone. You won’t even notice the fact you’re eating your dinner from a takeaway box. Or if you’re not the type to keep your liquor cabinet stocked, you can pop into the Eden for a drink. This darling is on offer at the moment, with 2 for 1 coming in at €12.

Ingredients

3 slices of cucumber
3 sprigs of fresh mint
2 oz of quality gin (Irish if possible)
3/4 oz of simple syrup
3/4 oz of fresh lime juice
3 drops of rose water
3 drops of Angustora bitters
Sprinkle a tiny pinch of salt
Add a few drops of cassis raspberry?liqueur?
Mint leaf, additional rose water, cucumber and bitters with a sprinkle of red currents for garnish?
?
Directions
In a cocktail shaker, muddle the cucumber & mint with the pinch of salt. (Crush with the back of a spoon if you don’t have a muddler!)
Add the rest of ingredients to cocktail shaker. Let this sit for 40 seconds.
Add some crushed ice, shake vigorously and strain into glass.
Garnish with a mint leaf & cucumber – place one drop of rosewater on the mint leaf and three drops of bitters on the surface of the drink along with some raspberry cassis?liqueur with a sprinkle of red currents.?
?
ENJOY ! ?
