The Wellness Device That Will Change Your Life

We are always mad for the latest in wellness revelations, and this one looks like a winner. This contraption is called a Personal Relaxation Pod; however it just looks like a super fancy eye mask. Though it’s not something we’d necessarily lash on during a stressful day at the office, it sounds rather brilliant and something worth having in your bedside drawers at home. Perfect also for long journeys when you just want to shut the world out.

This pod promises to calm you down, leaving you feel delightfully chilled in just three minutes. It gives you a guided meditation through your ears, light therapy by way of the LED lights incorporated into the mask and it even wafts aromatherapy scents around your nose, soothing your parasympathetic nervous system from all angles. All it’s missing is a massage function.

The combination of the lights, scent and audio work together to prevent your mind from being interrupted by external stimulants. If you’re feeling in any way anxious, this is going to help, and while it might only feel like a temporary benefit, by taking time out to do something like this every day, you’ll soon notice more long term improvements. Consider it a high-tech form of mindfulness.

We reckon this would be particularly popular among those who find it hard to switch off. It’s all well and good knowing that quiet time and a quiet mind is good for you, but actually learning how to chill out is more difficult than it sounds. Reading Eat Pray Love will tell you that.
