Maura Healy is just back from Glastonbury. ?It’s magical,? she says breathlessly. ?I’ve been seven times, you’ve got to go!? We stumbled (quite literally, in wellies) across this festival queen at Electric Picnic last year. She’s the girl who dreamed up a living, breathing pamper palace amidst the rough and tumble of the famed Stradbally festival. – and then made it a reality. ?I got the idea when I first went, eight years ago. I just thought, I want to feel fabulous here.? A palatial escape amidst the muck and field, the onsite beauty destination offers everything from nails and adult face painting to bouncy blowdrys, up-dos and everything in between. ?It started as three of us in a little tent.? Now there are two tents, including a VIP one, and a team of 50 working over the weekend. I love it, and the idea has grown – I do Beauty and Beats, too, which is the same concept, but for events. We just worked on the Facebook summer party.? When we catch up with Maura, she’s wandering the sunny streets of Brick Lane. ?I love fashion so I’ve moved here to study design for the year.? The Dublin native may have taken time out for the year but she is still deeply rooted here.
