Women may make up half of the world’s population, but according to recent research, they don’t account for half of the student body at leading business school campuses. At UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School wants to change that. They want to achieve gender equality in the classroom. It is well known that increasing diversity increases debate and learning, improves company performance and decision-making.

As Orla Nugent, MBA Program Director says, ?Diversity is key to success and we are delighted to work with IMAGE Magazine to promote a scholarship aimed at encouraging women applicants to the MBA program.?

An MBA is a general business Masters delivered in an experienced classroom setting. The MBA will develop your business acumen across a number of sectors, greatly expand your professional network, provide you with lifelong career strategies and a deeper understanding of you and how you impact and influence others.

As a result you will begin to integrate completely different perspectives and competencies into your approach to business and society. The scholarship will launch in March 2014 and to apply you will need a minimum of three years work experience. A business background is not required or necessarily an advantage- we want applicants from all sectors and a variety of backgrounds.

Just submit your CV and a short statement indicating why you want to do the MBA and why you believe you should be awarded this scholarship. Once shortlisted, you will be invited to apply and an interview will follow. If you wish to find out more please contact us at [email protected].
