Amidst the spring/summer ready to wear shows, which outlined some key go-to trends for 2015 bridal style, there were many that took our fancy. Sheer fabrics, off-the shoulder cuts and mid-length skirts were duly noted by studious brides-to-be in their wedding scrapbook. However, we’d put a pretty penny on it that bridal separates will be the most covetable trend of 2015.

There is something very appealing about bridal separates. For a start, it is the perfect option for anyone finding it difficult to come across a dress that’s ‘the one’, with one being the problem. I have heard of numerous impending brides who have compromised their sartorial satisfaction for their big day attire, because while the top of their gown was perfect, perhaps the skirt could have been less voluminous, for example. This is where the magic of separates gives you an opportunity to tailor the right silhouette to your shape, by pairing a top that you feel comfortable wearing, with a skirt that flatters your form. We all know that comfort and feeling hot are key components to being a happy bride.

In terms of styling, you can appropriate classic basics such as a crisp white tshirt and combine it with something exuding the neceesary va-va-voom, like a terrifically luxe tulle skirt, or a smart silk cigarette pant. There are millions of possibilities by going the bridal separates route, which will allow for a truly individual, self-expression of your style in bridal terms.

While it may seem like more work, bridal separates will give a laid back, unique aesthetic. This style would be ideal for simple civil ceremonies in city hall, romantic beachy vibes, and of course, traditional church settings. It’s also ideal for brides who are renewing their vows, or marrying for a second time, at any age. There really is no end to the versatility of the chic and coveted bridal separates trend.
