100 Years of Beauty Standards in 1 Video

At one stage in a woman’s life she will find herself crouched over a glowing screen and attempting victory rolls while pausing and replaying a Youtube tutorial. This is inevitable.

Now a new video is on hand to help you divine further inspiration from the ghost of hairdressing past. 100 years of beauty in 1 minute does exactly what it says in the title. The hairstyles and beauty standards of the past century are charted, starting with the Meet Me in St. Louis-esque curls of 1910 to the 1940s pinup, ending with the brash 1970s and selfie-taking 2010s – another inescapable facet of our lives.

Which decade do you like the most? And which should we all forget about?
