THE SCIENCE OF ATTRACTING A DIGITAL AUDIENCE

Join editor-in-chief Melanie Morris for an enlightening early morning of inspiration, bright ideas and networking at The Marker Hotel.

Developing an online business or presence can be confusing; what are the pitfalls? What generates revenue? What converts into actual sales? How best to showcase your brand? There’ll also be a panel discussion with those who’ve successfully found their digital voice.

DAVE DOUGLAS is MD at ebow, one of Ireland’s fastest growing and most established digital agencies. Founded in 1999, ebow has always been a trailblazing consultancy of new thinking, specialising in web design, development, social media and digital marketing; clients include the GAA, Disney, Irish Ferries, the Irish Independent, National Concert Hall, and Taste of Dublin. Dave will share insight on how to create a strong, responsive digital brand and how that translates into business.

MARYROSE LYONS An early adaptor, Maryrose founded Brightspark Consulting in 2003, a digital marketing company that creates compelling content for distribution by social media. She is very interested in cyberpsychology and how we interact when we are online. Maryrose will assess all key platforms and present examples of businesses who are using social media to great commercial effect.

LAURA GEORGE is group editorial director at IMAGE Publications. She spearheaded IMAGE’s online incarnation, overseeing a whole new voice and identity for the magazine that enhances and complements the 3D product. Eighteen months on, she has learned a lot about what works, and what drives traffic, while maintaining brand integrity and interest.

ANDREA HORAN A former PR with youth specialists Thinkhouse, Andrea is the creator of Tropical Popical, Dublin’s brightest, kitschiest nail salon. Andrea actively promoted her business through social media from the outset and opened her salon doors with a full appointment book.
