Rihanna In Dior Campaign

Rihanna In Dior Campaign

The first images from Rihanna’s Dior campaign have been revealed.

When Rihanna was announced as one of Dior’s newest ambassadors, we cheered. Not only is Rihanna the first black woman to front a campaign for the brand, joining actresses Marion Cotillard and Jennifer Lawrence, but she’s also one of our style heroines.

Last week she stole the show at the Met Gala with a yellow cape from Chinese designer Guo Pei. Beyonc?, Jennifer Lopez and Kim Kardashian’s embellished rears didn’t stand a chance. When Rihanna goes regal, the girl goes nuclear leaving everyone quaking in her wake. There was also that weed themed wedding where she married her edgy personality with a beautifully delicate lavender gown.

ICYMI: Who won the Met Gala red carpet?

It seems our good faith in the 27-year-old singer was founded, after images from the Dior campaign starring Bad Girl Riri – that’s her Instagram handle – were revealed online in the past 24 hours. Rihanna shared the stunning shots on social media.

WWD.com reports that famed photographer Steven Klein is responsible for the dramatic and atmospheric imagery for the latest iteration of Dior’s Secret Garden campaign and that a video is due to drop on May 18th. That’s the day after Taylor Swift’s star-studded Bad Blood music video lands.

The Secret Garden campaign was shot in Versailles at night and will show Rihanna dancing in the hall of mirrors to one of her own songs, Only If for a Night, that appears on her upcoming album. As Sidney Toledano, Dior’s CEO, says of the Barbadian star, she’s ?a goddess but accessible.?
