IMAGE Spring 2025 hits shelves Friday, February 28, and acting editor Ciara Elliott is here to highlight the best of what’s inside the new issue.
By the time you are reading this, the days should be getting just that loveliest bit longer, the sun should be shining (at least a little more) and the first blooms in view. It might be a cliché but as nature wakes up, undoubtedly so do we. In fact, just like woodland creatures, it feels like we are all slightly emerging from long months of hibernation, stretching out our limbs and perking up to feel fully alive and new-season ready for whatever lies ahead. A change in season always makes me itch for newness.
I want to refresh my wardrobe, declutter my home, plan holidays and change-up my hair. If spring signals the season of fresh starts and new beginnings, this issue, which is all about reinvention, growth and rejuvenation, could not feel more timely.
Capturing the mood for newness perfectly is our cover fashion story which feels so bright and optimistic. From the fun and frivolity of the feather pink Louise Kennedy two-piece to the cool of the Colin Burke knit, styled with a silver brocade skirt, I love everything that contributing fashion editor Sinéad Keenan has picked for this edit. You can see more of Sinéad’s fashion picks in her new column, and for more inspiring style directions, peruse deputy editor Megan Burns’ new season trend edit.
For all the details on how to wear denim now, check out writer Suzie Coen’s round-up (clue: the answer is, there is no one way to wear denim, as anything goes – hurray!), and if you are looking for ideas for workwear, we have more fashion pages in our new look Agenda section.
A new season can also be a time to rethink love, as well as your career, and Roe McDermott has done some insightful research on how you can start thinking mindfully about your partner, as well as all your relationships, in order to see them flourish. Meanwhile, business and life coach Niamh Ennis has some very good advice on crafting a life at work that better suits not just who you are, but where you are right now.
Someone who continually seems to reinvent herself – and is the feel-good story of the year so far – is 62-year-old actress Demi Moore, who is experiencing an incredible resurgence due to her role, and multiple awards wins, for The Substance. She looks beautiful and flawless, not only for her age but for any age, which has prompted contributing editor Melanie Morris to ask the question, “What did Demi do… (and how can I do it too?)”.
There is so much more making us happy and bringing us joy in this issue, including plotting a staycation in a fragrant Irish garden, saving up for an all-inclusive family break in the Alps and stealing all the inspiration from Vogue Williams’ Howth house glow-up.
We hope this issue brings you so much joy too. Happy spring!
