Event: Join our event ‘Go With Your Flow’ and learn how your period affects your wellbeing
28th Apr 2023
“How we live impacts our menstrual cycle and our menstrual cycle profoundly impacts our life.” - Kitty Maguire
Half of the female population is of menstrual age (UNICEF), and yet we all experience our periods differently. By going with the flow, we can learn to listen to our bodies – to take note of our cycles and how they impact our lives. These actions empower us to understand how our moods might be affected; how our relationships might be impacted; how to use the appropriate period products; and ultimately allow us to give our bodies and minds a chance to thrive.
On Sunday, May 14, we will lead a special yoga flow session with Liz Costigan Fleury, yoga and meditation teacher, followed by a dynamic panel discussion, hosted by Dominique McMullan and three superb panellists including, Kitty Maguire, menstruality mentor, Laura Dowling (aka @fabulouspharmacist) and Nadine Reid, TV host and model. These special guests will share their personal stories, as well as the knowledge they have gleaned from years of experience.
In a warm and honest chat, Nadine Reid will share the story of her journey with fibroids, and ultimately how she learnt to love her body. Kitty Magure will explain how to listen to our divine feminine energy and celebrate our feminine cycles. Laura Dowling will demystify some of the more stigmatised areas of periods and explain how to bio-hack your menstrual cycle to bring flow to your life.
Join us live in the welcoming atmosphere of the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Golden Lane for a wholesome morning that is the perfect opportunity to spend time with friends and family, or simply to take some time just for you while indulging in breakfast bites and enjoying an informative and entertaining event.

Meet the Speakers
Kitty Maguire, menstruality mentor
A self-proclaimed menstruality mentor, Kitty Maguire runs menstrual cycle awareness training, pregnancy release support circles and sacred feminine divine circles. At this event, she will share how to become aware of (and celebrate!) our monthly cycles as they affect our bodies and minds.
“When we acknowledge our menstrual cycle as a key component of our overall wellbeing, adapting to cyclical living makes sense. Burnout, anxiety and menstrual challenges begin to ease. Every cycle is another opportunity to understand yourself greater and figure out what you need to support your life. From my experience, you’ll gain confidence and a sense of empowerment as you reclaim your menstrual cycle as an ally.”
Laura Dowling, pharmacist, CEO and founder of fabÜ Wellness
Laura Dowling (@fabulouspharmacist) is a pharmacist, a mum, an influencer and a CEO. During this event, she will help demystify female health topics such as heavy periods, night sweats, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, miscarriage, fibroids and period pain.
“We have come a long way with regard to education about women’s bodies, however, we still have a way to go. Women and girls need to be empowered to speak frankly and without shame about their body parts and bodily functions – this should start from babyhood. Boys need to be part of this conversation too! I see misinformation out there on a daily basis generally perpetuated by social media. How do we change this? By having these types of conversations regularly.”
Nadine Reid, TV host and model
Nadine Reid works as a TV host, a model and an audiobook narrator. She’s previously reported for Virgin Media’s 6 O’Clock Show, RTÉ’s Today Show and Xposé. At our event, she will share her own health journey, including struggling with heavy periods and eventual fibroid surgery.
“I suffered for decades with heavy periods, which resulted in anaemia and having to undergo major surgery – they had to remove eight pounds of fibroids (that’s the size of a small baby!). However, I am still learning to love having periods. I still carry the fear of leaving a bloody stain on seats on those heavy flow days, but I have finally let go of the shame connected to heavy periods. I recognise if I was educated earlier I would have put together the many ‘red flags’ I had as a young woman.”
