Join our networking event: ‘Word Up: Why Communication is Key’

Network with fellow Business Club members over cocktails and canapés, while gaining key insights from four distinguished business leaders, as they share important lessons learned throughout their remarkable careers.

Communication is such an essential part of human existence, and when it comes to business, it can be the most crucial thing to elevate, or shut down a deal.

On the evening of Tuesday, April 1 our IMAGE Business Club Live event will focus on the many facets of communication – what we need to know, what works, what’s exposing us and what’s stopping us from being properly understood.

Join us for an evening that will propel your business journey to the next level when international Emmy-award-winning former CNN correspondent Gina London will present on The Language of Leadership – how to harness those spoken and implied skills to power up our performance. Gina has huge experience working globally on connection and communication and how these form the cornerstone of business relationships and progressive growth.

We’ll also be joined in conversation by Elisabeth Fitzpatrick, joint head of consumer practice at Wilson Hartnell PR, for whom communication, in its many forms, is her business; Geraldine Jones, founder of Skin Formulas; and Caroline Reidy, managing director of The HR Suite, who understands and consults on the nuances of communication on a daily basis. Caroline, Elisabeth and Geraldine will share their insights and experiences with IMAGE’s contributing editor Melanie Morris in a discussion that’s bound to strike a chord with attendees.

As always, the evening will also offer plenty of opportunities to chat with fellow IMAGE Business Club members over cocktails and canapés, a chance to meet the speakers and gifts for all on departure.

Geraldine Jones, founder, Skin Formulas

Geraldine Jones is a visionary entrepreneur who has redefined the beauty and skincare industry in Ireland. Her ability to identify market gaps, take calculated risks, and continuously innovate has positioned her as a leader in her field. Through her strong leadership, resourcefulness, and passion, Geraldine has made a significant impact on her industry and community.

Geraldine’s entrepreneurial journey began in 2014 when she opened her first skincare and laser clinic. Recognising a gap in the market for high-quality skincare products, she swiftly embarked on developing her own skincare brand. This resulted in the launch of Skin Formulas in 2019, a groundbreaking skincare range designed with industry-leading formulations to deliver guaranteed results.

Understanding the complexity of the beauty industry and the necessity for a diverse range of products, Geraldine took an unconventional approach. She launched Skin Formulas with an impressive 16 products, ensuring every skin type was represented. This ambitious move was a testament to her deep understanding of consumer needs and her willingness to challenge tradition. As she puts it, “I knew it was not the industry norm, but I also knew it had to be done.”

Beyond her business achievements, Geraldine is deeply committed to mentorship and community development. She actively participates in the Acorns programme as a group mentor, guiding early-stage entrepreneurs on how to scale their businesses successfully. She also provides one-on-one business coaching to stockists and local business owners in the Tipperary area. Her achievements, adaptability, and leadership make her a truly empowering entrepreneur.
