Join us for our event ‘Keep Doing What Matters – Culinary Delights’
14th Mar 2024
To help start off the year, we've partnered with AIB to curate a series of events to support you in doing what matters to you. Next up is Culinary Delights, a supper club at Dublin’s most-lauded new dining destination.
Join us on Tuesday, March 26 for a very special evening, AIB Keep Doing What Matters – Culinary Delights event in partnership with IMAGE Media, where you’ll get the opportunity to experience Dublin’s most-lauded new dining destination – Kicky’s on Dublin’s South Great George’s Street. Launched late last year by Eric Matthews and his business partner Richie Barrett, Kicky’s is the place everyone is talking about. From the cool, contemporary room, complete with a vibrant mural by artist Leah Hewson, to the staggeringly good food, it’s the hottest ticket in town.
On the evening, guests will enjoy a gastronomic five-course dinner, created by chef Eric Matthews, who will be joined by IMAGE Editor-in-Chief Lizzie Gore-Grimes to guide guests through each course; sharing insights into each exquisite dish and giving guests the opportunity to gain an intimate understanding of the ingredients, techniques, and inspirations behind Eric’s award-winning style of cooking. To elevate the evening further, wine expert Brigid O’Hora (aka Brideys Wine Chats) will lead an informal and engaging wine pairing and tasting session, with a bespoke wine chosen to complement each course.
AIB supports customers by offering financial advice at all life stages so you can keep doing what matters to you. To book a chat with an AIB advisor to get real guidance on how to use savings, pensions, and investments to build your financial future, simply visit www.aib.ie/make-a-plan.

Meet the Speakers
Brigid O’Hora, wine expert (aka Brideys Wine Chats)
Brigid O’Hora is a WSET (HDip) trained sommelier who has worked for many years in the operational side of the wine industry, including front of house in Shanahan’s on the Green, L’Gueleton restaurant and L’Ecrivain, and as a sommelier in Dromoland Castle and Locks. During this time her passion was always for the educational aspect of wine, and she really caught the bug for teaching during a year lecturing on wine at Cathal Brugha St DIT (now TU Dublin).
Brigid launched Brideys Wine Chats in March 2020 to offer free Insta-live tastings to followers on Facebook and Instagram, now at over 19,000 followers. These tastings are accessible to novice wine tasters, who are guided through the basics of wine tasting. In September 2020 Brigid launched Virtual Vineyards. This is an online wine-tasting events business incorporating wine classes, tastings and events. As the world has opened back up, Virtual Vineyards is also operating on an ‘in person’ event basis. These events consist of six-week wine appreciation courses, wine tasting team building events, and restaurant and bar staff training. With the benefit of Brigid’s Master’s in hospitality management and HDip in WSET Wine and Spirits, she is in a qualified position to independently upskill hospitality professionals in both wine and service in the wake of the reopening of the industry.

Brigid currently works with Classic Drinks as a business development manager, and she also works with Irish brands creating online wine events with SuperValu, Bodegas695, Her.ie and O’Briens wines.
Eric Matthews, Chef and Owner, Kicky’s
Born in Dublin, Chef Eric Matthews’ career has taken him far and wide. Eric has spent almost 20 years working in some of the best Michelin-starred restaurants in Ireland and the world, including The Square in London, The Fat Duck in Bray on Thames, and Guillaume at Bennelong in the Sydney Opera House. Eric’s homecoming culminated in his appointment as head chef at the Michelin-starred Chapter One on Dublin’s Parnell Square. Eric led the kitchen to maintain its Michelin star for five consecutive years.
