“Kim, there’s people that are dying”: our favourite memes of Kim Kardashian’s island birthday party
28th Oct 2020
While flying her (rather large) “inner circle” to a private island for a birthday party was a little tone-deaf during a pandemic, at least our Twitter feeds have been filled with hilarious memes ever since.
Kim Kardashian’s billions of dollars have been amassed from a career where she always attracted as much criticism as praise, and her latest move has been no different.
To celebrate her 40th birthday, the reality star flew her friends and family to a private island “after 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine”, so they “could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time”.
We danced, rode bikes, swam near whales, kayaked, watched a movie on the beach and so much more. I realize that for most people, this is something that is so far out of reach right now, so in moments like these, I am humbly reminded of how privileged my life is. #thisis40 pic.twitter.com/UYOcVBpytW

Unsurprisingly, the internet is tearing Kim’s post about how “humbled and blessed” she is to shreds, with some of the funniest memes using her caption with a range of images from pop culture. Here are some of the funniest that we’ve found.
