We love a day at the races – yes, the actual horse races are an exciting event to watch, but let’s be honest, we are really there for the fashion. At the 43rd Annual Red Mills Race Day in Gowran Park in Kilkenny, the guests did not disappoint. They arrived bedecked in their boldest prints, their fabulous coats and their most intricate hats and headpieces.

Why were we there?
For over forty years, Red Mills has been sponsoring races at Gowran Park. This year’s race day marked the renowned country living and animal nutrition brand’s 115th anniversary.
On Red Mills Day, Gowran Park hosts two big races, the Red Mills Chase and the Red Mills Trial Hurdle. They also feature a fashion event with a dedicated style marquee, offering fashion shows and best-dressed prizes. Guest judges have included Emily O’Donnell, Yvonne Connolly & Edward Hayden – needless to say, the guests donned their best looks!
Who was there?
There were plenty of familiar faces at the exciting event, including chef and radio broadcaster Edward Hayden, RTÉ and RTV broadcaster Jane Mangan, and columnist and presenter Siobhan Donohoe.
The race day’s MC was renowned fashion stylist Marietta Doran, and Nathalie Lennon, radio host, PT and nutritional coach, made an appearance as the fashion show’s guest judge.
