Social Pictures: A recap of the finest festival fashion from Electric Picnic weekend

Were you among the masses that descended on Stradbally for Electric Picnic weekend?

Regardless of the weather forecast, a record 70,000 festival goers set off for Stradbally for the return of Electric Picnic after a three year hiatus. If there photos are anything to go off, it’s clear that rain ponchos and muddy wellies were the essential style of choice across the weekend.

When was it?

2-4 September

Where was it?

Stradbally Hall, Co Laois

What went on across the weekend?

While the main stage and many festival tents naturally drew a crowd with a host of incredible live performances from the best international acts and finest home-grown talent, there were plenty of other attractions peppered throughout the EP grounds.

Many gathered at the launch of 3 All For Music at the 3Charge & Chill area, where music lovers got the opportunity to take a quick break between catching their favourite artists on the exclusive Sky Deck. The area also featured Recharge & Crystal Energy tunnels,  a serenity slushie bar, and an all spruced up station where Three customers were able to avail of free hair and make up.

Among them were Ellen Keane, Erica Cody, Ed Power and Conor Power from the band Wild Youth, Denise Chaila, Tracy Clifford and many other familiar faces.

Over at the Heineken® The Greener Bar, sustainability was a firm focus. Created with reuse-led design values, 100% circular building methods, materials and technologies, it’s Heineken’s most sustainable bar yet, and this year, all musicians booked by Heineken were local. The bar aimed to celebrate the best in local talent while leading the way toward a more environmentally conscious festival landscape, without compromising on an epic experience.
