The IMAGE Business Club Live event, ‘Sell It!’, heard from experts Tom Lyons, Eddie Shanahan and Ella de Guzman on maximising a retail strategy.

On Monday, October 14, team IMAGE hosted a fantastic networking event as part of our Business Club Live schedule in the Dublin Royal Convention Centre. Over the course of the evening, we took a look at the seductive world of retail – how it has evolved, how to nail the sale, what the big names do to attract attention, the role of online and digital, and how to retain a treasured customer long into the future.

Team Siopaella

IMAGE contributing editor Melanie Morris spoke with retail consultant Eddie Shanahan about the key considerations for commercial success. They were joined by Siopaella founder Ella de Guzman, who shared first-hand insights on how she maximises her business – both sourcing and selling – between two prime Dublin stores, an active online presence and a highly engaged social media community.

This event came at the perfect moment as we prepare for Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the make-or-break holiday season that follows.

We also introduced a new live segment to the IMAGE Business Club, welcoming Tom Lyons, founder of The Currency, who talked us through the key stories and issues impacting our business lives right now.

Alongside the incredible insights, there were plenty of networking opportunities to be had over Tanqueray and Fever-Tree cocktails and canapes, a chance to meet the speakers and team, and a gorgeous gift bag from Neutrogena for everyone in the audience.
