Social Pictures: Special preview screening of Jordan Peele’s NOPE

Ahead of its release in cinemas across Ireland on 12 August, a select few were invited along to Cineworld for a special preview screening.

When was it?

Thursday, 4 August.

Where was it?

Cineworld, The Parnell Centre, Dublin.

Why were we there?

Ahead of its release later this month, Cineworld hosted a special screening of the highly anticipated film NOPE. Set to be another incredible piece of work from Oscar winner Jordan Peele, NOPE stars Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and Steven Yeun as residents in a lonely gulch of inland California who bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery.

Peele has been redefining the horror genre with past releases including Get Out and Us Now, he’s reimagines the summer movie with a new pop nightmare with this expansive horror epic. The film asks the audience, “What’s a bad miracle?”

Who was there?

From journalists and influencers to TikTok stars and content creators, there were plenty of well-known named in the attendance. There was fashionista Ciara O’Doherty and Zeda, funnyman Killian Sundermann, designer Aisling Duffy, and many more familiar faces.
