Street feasts, Pride parades, flea markets and more great events happening this weekend

If you want to make the absolute most out of the weekend, we’ve rounded up some of the best events taking place around Ireland from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 June.

Dublin Pride Parade

24 June, starting on O’Connell Street at 12pm

There are a whole host of different Pride events happening across Dublin this weekend, culminating in the 40th anniversary Dublin Pride Parade on Saturday from 12pm. Dublin Pride reminds us that despite all our wins and progress, Ireland ranks worst in the EU for Trans healthcare, the ILGA Rainbow map only ranks us the 16th best place in Europe to be LGBTQ+, many children of LGBTQ+ parents are left without protection and legal recognition, and violence against LGBTQ+ people has increased in recent years. Pride started out as a protest, and it will continue to be one until each of us can benefit from the same sense of security, acceptance and equality while existing within your truth as our own unique selves.

Galway Indoor Market

24 June, Outset Design, The Cornstore Mall, Middle Street

Returning once again from 11am — 4pm, Outset Design will be transforming the Cornstore into a bustling indoor market filled with a diverse range of stalls that showcase the best of vintage, retro, second hand and handmade bits and pieces from independent businesses and creative individuals from Galway and beyond. There’ll also be live music from a Galway-based DJ collective, and interactive art experiences.

The Useless Project’s Sizzlin’ Summer Flea Market

25 June, The Workmans Club, Dublin

The Useless Project’s summer market promises to be a treasure trove of sustainable gems featuring more than 40 vendors across three floors. From funky vintage garbs to colourful creations by talented artists, groovy jewellery, and upcycled homeware, there’s something for everyone. The beer garden will be open, the pints will be flowing, and the funkiest of tunes will be playing.

IMAGE Wellness Project Live Event

25 June, JANDO Studios at The Chocolate Factory, 26, King’s Inn Street, Dublin

Team IMAGE are hosting a jam-packed wellness event with an incredible line-up, lots to nourish your mind and body, and learnings to incorporate into your everyday life, sprinkled with lots of eats, treats and prizes to enjoy. We are hosting a morning and an afternoon session with identical schedules, so choose the session that suits you best. Host Kathryn Thomas will be joined by special guests Aoife Hannon, chartered physiotherapist and founder of The Pilates Programme, Caroline Foran, bestselling author, podcaster and public speaker, Orla Walsh, registered dietician, Simone Scribes, beauty editor and skincare specialist, Daniella Moyles, author and co-founder of the STLL, and Oonagh O’Hagan, pharmacist and MD of Meagher’s Pharmacy Group, to learn about how to care for our bodies, mind, movement, nutrition and skin.

Street Feasts

25 June, all around Ireland

This weekend, various locations across Dublin alone are set to host a grand total of 319 Street Feasts for the national day of street parties and community celebrations. A time to get together with your neighbours, share food, and enjoy some conversation and camaraderie this summer, there are over 800 registered feasts taking place all across Ireland, so you can just imagine the amount of stories, food and laughter that will be shared among local communities.
