Ireland's most exciting business competition is back for the third year and you won't want to miss the opportunity to apply. This is everything you need to know about The Pitch 2024...

Accelerating your business and bringing it to the next level isn’t easy. But what if you were superpowered by a €100,000 business development fund, comprising a tailored Samsung technology package; a multi-channel IMAGE media campaign; and business mentoring from one of Ireland’s best-known entrepreneurs? We think it would get a lot easier!

This is the game-changing prize available for the winner of The Pitch 2024, an IMAGE Media and Samsung Electronics Ireland partnership that is back for the third year to support Ireland’s business community.

Now in its third year, The Pitch has already supported Jennifer Rock, CEO and founder of the Skin Nerd and multi-award winning Skingredients skincare range, and Karl Swaine, Niall Horgan and Diarmuid McSweeney, founders of Gym+Coffee, an Irish-owned and thriving designed athleisure brand, to bring their businesses to the next level.

So, what’s it all about? We unfold the proposition so you have everything you need to know…

HOW it works

The competition has two stages. Stage One involves sharing your business story in writing or by video through the application form here. Your application should provide evidence of your business’s potential growth and viability.

If you progress to Stage Two, this is when you have the chance to live pitch your business as a finalist of The Pitch 2024 in front of a panel of five judges. This is your Dragons’ Den-style pitch where you have seven minutes to bring your business story to life, to share your vision, your success to date and your goals for the future.

Along with the other finalists, you will pitch live in front of the judges and an audience in Dublin City Hall on Friday, November 1 at 6pm.

WHO can apply

The competition is open to business women and men who are entrepreneurs, start-ups or SMEs. The business must be in operation, with filed accounts, for a minimum of one year and no more than six years and be trading and registered within the island of Ireland.

All applicants need to demonstrate a high propensity for risk, innovation and achievement, along with quantitative evidence of success and growth in their business.

The WHAT

This is a prize that is designed to support business acceleration and growth. It includes a business development fund of €100,000, comprising €50,000 of Samsung technology, to enhance, improve and streamline your business, and a tailored €50,000 IMAGE media campaign designed to elevate your brand presence, awareness and to achieve your PR goals in line with your growth strategy. Alongside this, the winner will also receive three mentoring sessions with one of Ireland’s most well-known and respected entrepreneurs.

The WHEN and WHERE

Applications close on Wednesday, October 16 at 1pm. Application online here.

The live Pitch event is on Monday, November 11 in Dublin City Hall.

What are you waiting for? Apply today or share this with someone who needs to know. Don’t just dream it, pitch it!
