He choo-choo chose her…

If this doesn’t lift your spirits, there’s little that will…. This week, a Dart driver received a marriage proposal as she pulled into the station at the end of her shift.

Midwife Clodagh Maher witnessed this adorable public proposal at Pearse Station after finishing a busy 13-hour hospital shift, and captured it on camera.

She noticed a man standing at the end of the platform holding flowers and standing beside a large sign with the words ‘Will you marry me?’  printed on it.

Staff in Pearse Street helped Conor O’Sullivan prepare the message for his now-fiancée Paula Carbó Zea as she stopped at the end of the platform.

In a video shared by Irish Rail showing Paula’s point of view, we can see her drive past a series of signs on the platform with the big question written on them.

At the last sign was Conor waiting with a bunch of flowers.

As Paula got out of the train, he got on one knee and popped the question.

And, happily, she said yes.

These are the endorphins we need after the year that has been 2020.
