It’s not too bold to say that Kate Middleton is a style icon. She need only wear a dress once before causing it to sell out?in mere minutes, her chic, yet effortlessly-put-together outfits are the envy of many (we know she has staff, but even so), and don’t even get us started on the subject of her impossibly-perfect mane. She made the headlines recently when an over-eager onlooker spotted traces of grey in her brunette locks (we celebrated by chanting “she’s one of us now”), and she is in the spotlight again because she’s gone and changed her hair.
According to the Daily Mail, Kate debuted a new hairstyle – lighter, shorter hair with a fringe – as she was pictured along with her husband, Prince William, as they arrived for Sunday morning prayers at Crathie Kirk in Scotland today.?Wearing a dark turtleneck jumper and sporting the shorter hairstyle with fringe, it is the first time she is believed to have been photographed in weeks since attending the America’s Cup World Series in Portsmouth in July.
And we have to say, though the pictures don’t give us a detailed view, we think the new do is very flattering. The cut and fringe very much compliment her face shape. We’ll be dying to get a proper gander of it when she’s photographed at an official outing (Kate has yet to resume her official royal duties following the birth of her daughter, Princess Charlotte).
The hairstyle is a departure from her usual look of loose locks and big waves; something similar?to the style she had back in 2012. The Duchess is expected to end her maternity leave shortly?as she begins a series of solo engagements?for the autumn season.?The mother of two?will reportedly pay a visit next week to the Anna Freud Centre in London, a charity involved with children’s mental health.
No doubt this new do will inspire a new variation of the famous ‘Kate Middleton’ style, but regardless (and though it’s nobody’s business bar her own), we think she looks wonderful.
We’re safely going to assume the fringe will very much become a must-have trend, following the Duchess’ debut.
