Vivienne Westwood
The show look was created by Global Ambassador for TONI&GUY hair products, Mark Hampton using hero product?TONI&GUY Glamour 3D Volumiser.
The hair look was inspired by fallen angel curls at Vivienne Westwood Red Label creating a formation of intellectuals.
Collection Inspiration
The renaissance and 1400s are a rich source of inspiration for this season’s Vivienne Westwood Red Label collection. The AW16 collection depicts ?The Joker?, a strong presence in medieval and Renaissance history and seen in the collection in print, tartans and in knitwear.
The Hair Inspiration
Angels fell from heaven and landed on the Vivienne Westwood Red Label runway for AW16 to create a formation of intellectuals.
Mark’s Tip:
To create this look quickly, take a section of hair from the back of the crown, twisting and flattening it against the head before pinning in place. This reduces the amount of hair you need to curl, as you can cover over it.
Get The Look
- Apply TONI&GUY Prep Volume Plumping Mousse to damp hair to create body and grip for styling. Blow-dry thoroughly.
- Once hair is dry, take a section of hair from the crown and twist, flattening to the head using pins. Spritz TONI&GUY Glamour 3D Volumiser from root to tip to give curls an added shine.
- Divide the rest of the hair into sections and tong using the TONI&GUY Style Fix Curler. Roll sections up and pin to the head, securing with a sectioning clip. Repeat all over until the full head of hair is curled.
- Once hair has cooled, remove sectioning clips one by one and allow the hair to fall free. Wrap each section around your finger, creating tight baby curls and re-pin intermittently. Ensure the ends of the hair are loose to create a textured layer of curls.
- After pinning, slightly tease the hair to create more volume for a baby kiss-curl look. Fix with TONI&GUY Firm Hold Hair Spray to ensure curls stay in place.
Roksanda?
The show look was created by Global Ambassador for TONI&GUY hair products, Mark Hampton using hero product?TONI&GUY Classic Shine Gloss Serum.?The hair look created was simple, bold and beautiful.
Collection Inspiration
For AW16, Roksanda explores poetic femininity with a dark undercurrent seen in the atmospheric photographs of Deborah Turbeville and cult film The Night Porter.
The Hair Inspiration
Simplicity is beauty. A deep sea of bold ponytails create an impact down the runway at ROKSANDA.
Mark’s Tip:
The key to making this ponytail look so beautiful is to ensure the ponytail sits below the base of the hairline. Double tie to guarantee the ponytail stays in place.
Get The Look
- Before blow-drying to a natural-straight finish, spritz hair with TONI&GUY Prep Heat Protection Mist to prevent any damage or frizz.
- Create a soft centre parting and run a pea-size amount of TONI&GUY Classic Shine Gloss Serum through hair lengths, smoothing any fly aways.
- Pull the hair into a low ponytail at the base of the hairline, securing tightly with an elastic. Tease hair around the ears, letting small wisps fall to the front.
- Finish by spritzing TONI&GUY Illuminating Hair Perfume into hands and smooth across the hair for subtle shine and long lasting fragrance. Add a texturized ribbon or coloured band to complete the look.
Ashley Williams
The show look was created by Global Ambassador for TONI&GUY hair products, Mark Hampton using hero product?TONI&GUY Casual Rough Texturiser.?The hair look was inspired by the individual geek?and the?artful androgyny of Ashley Williams’ AW16?catwalk collection.
Collection Inspiration
With a little injection of artful androgyny for AW16, there is something for guys and gals alike. A sharp dosage of overt sexuality laced with a touch of menace shouldn’t come as any surprise in the Ashley Williams world.
The Hair Inspiration
There’s geek and then there’s the Ashley Williams geek. She’s got attitude. Though she may look innocent, this geek is really, really bad. She’s waving the flag for individuality and encouraging everyone to express and embrace their own distinctive personality.
Mark’s Tip:
Prepping is the key to keeping your kink. Apply plenty of TONI&GUY Prep Volume Plumping Mousse. This will add definition to the kinks and keep your look geek-cool until the morning after.
Get The Look
- Create a clean middle parting and apply TONI&GUY Prep Volume Plumping Mousse through the lengths of damp hair to create texture.
- Blow-dry hair, leaving a section at the front slightly damp.
- With this section, create a small tight braid.
- Slide TONI&GUY Fluid Metal Straightener over the braid to set.
- Unravel the braid to reveal a subtle crimp.
- Spray TONI&GUY Casual Rough Texturiser through hair, teasing the parting to create definition.
- Spray TONI&GUY Casual Flexible Hold Hairspray all over to set your style.
Sibling
The show look was created by Global Ambassador for TONI&GUY hair products, Mark Hampton using hero product?TONI&GUY Creative Style Spray Wax.
The hair look was inspired by cool, bad girl vibes and the?knitted lace and daytime-disco sparkle of SIBLING’s AW16?catwalk collection.
Collection Inspiration
Moving forward from their knock out LCM show, SIBLING’s mood board for women was dotted with images of paintings by Basquiat and Grace Jones in Italian Vogue, as well as her Playboy cover. The collection consists of paintstripe jacquards, classic SIBLING leopard dots, flashes, a viscose jacquard inspired by a textile from The Geffrye Museum, knitted lace and daytime-disco sparkle. Colours are lavender, sunshine yellow and royal blue with lots and lots of lurex.
The Hair Inspiration
Cool, bad girl vibes set the scene at SIBLING London; she’s twisted her hair into a neat spiral cone and included a couple of ringlets. Her rebellious attitude has taken her on a wild night out and she’s awoken with an undone version of the look which she much prefers?
Mark’s Tip:
The key to this look is tightening the French pleat, as this will create a shorter fringe and enable you to easily style the fringe to sit around your face. Ensure you spritz TONI&GUY Creative Style Spray Wax through hair lengths for the appearance of a slept-in look.?
Get The Look
- Apply TONI&GUY Volume Plumping Mousse through the lengths and ends of towel-dried hair before blow drying to create texture and grip for styling.
- Leaving two lower sections of the hair loose either side of the head, twist the rest of the hair towards the crown in a French pleat and secure with pins. Leave the ends of the hair draped across the top of the head to create a fringe.
- ?Using the loose lengths of hair, cover the French pleat by wrapping hair across the back of the head, leaving out one small section of hair near the nape of the head.
- ?With the loose section, create small ringlets using the TONI&GUY Style Fix Curler, as well as curling two small sections within the fringe/.
- Tease hair with TONI&GUY Creative Style Spray Wax to add texture and definition.
- Finally, spray TONI&GUY Creative Extreme Hold Hairspray to add further texture and to ensure hair stays in place.
