In her latest project “Inspiring Women Over 40”, Tanya is putting her mantra into action even further. Her series tells the stories of strong women who have found their own definition of success and did not follow a conventional journey.

“I am photographing 40 women over the age of 40 to tell their stories, celebrate their success and inspire others to live life on their own terms,” she says.

Nominations for this important project are still open and she encourages Business Club members to nominate someone they know. “As Irish women, we always have a hard time shining a light on our own success, so I’m encouraging women to nominate themselves or inspirational leaders in their lives. We have just a few spaces left for the project!”

About Tanya Crosbie

Tanya Crosbie is an international award-winning photographer known for her passion for capturing life’s beautiful moments. While she has always had a passion for photography, Tanya’s background was originally in the tech industry, and it was a mix of courage and resilience that helped her switch careers and follow her dream.

“After turbulent teenage years, I worked my way through college and ended up as a well-paid software engineer in the heart of Silicon Valley during the dot-com boom,” she says. “Life was a rollercoaster, especially in a tech start-up where we practically lived for the job. But the hours clashed with the imminent arrival of my first child, and the request for part-time work was met with a Silicon Valley twist – that will be 40 hours a week.

“With a newborn at home, I returned to work only to discover I’d been made redundant during maternity leave. Shock, devastation, and crushing disappointment followed. The silver lining? I got to go home to my baby boy. That pivotal moment led me to ditch the tech scene and venture into the world of photography. It wasn’t always smooth sailing, but capturing incredible moments and giving people unforgettable experiences became my passion. If not for that day, I might not have mustered the courage to leave a hard-earned career behind and embrace this fulfilling journey as a photographer.”

Tanya believes passionately in celebrating the success of women and has dedicated herself to empowering women of all ages to embrace their unique journeys. Her current project “Inspiring Women Over 40” is a tribute to women who defied convention, embraced their passions and redefined success on their own terms. Through an incredible photoshoot and a short interview, she will tell the stories of 40 women over the age of 40, to celebrate their success and inspire others to live life on their own terms. A portion of all session fees will be donated to Work Equal, who enable women to enter the workforce.
